YMCMB artist Drake just made a new purchase of one of the fastest production sports cars on the planet. A black Bugatti Veyron. For those who are unfamiliar with the $1.2 million dollar sports car, the Bugatti Veyron is in a league of its own and very few cars on the road would give it any type of problem on the street or race track. YMCMB artist Drake is best known for his hit song "Started from the Bottom", Drake is no stranger to the car collection world, hes been seen around Hollywood pulling up in numerous custom exotic whips.
The Bugatti Veyron holds a specific and certain type of social status in the car world, and one of those are the "I have money" stereo types. You don't get a Bugatti Veyron because you want to, you get a Veyron because you can.
They Veyron may look big but make no mistake this car has been upwards of 260 plus miles per hour on a 2 mile runway. If thats not impressive then we dont know what is. The Veyron can also get from 0-60 in just 2.5 seconds and makes over 1000 horsepower. This is obtained by an intercooled Doch-64 W16 engine with not one, not two but four turbochargers. The Veyron needs every bit of that horsepower with weight numbers of an old school SL500. In a straight line at your local dragstrip the Veyron can run 10.80's @ over 140 mph. Catch Drake in this car at a stop light, unless your in an Underground Racing Twin Turbo Gallardo or an Alpha Omega GTR your best bet would be to turn the other way. The Veyron mixes class with speed which makes it a very unique automobile.
Not that its possible to drive the Veyron on public roads at 260 mph, and the team at Roadstarr would definitely never recommend wreck less driving on the streets, the Veyron can also be considered an over sized luxury cruiser. This car makes a bold statement anywhere it goes.
However, the Veyron only gets 7 miles per gallon so we can only assume there wont be much cruising unless its to your local Chevron gas station for a fill up. If you have access to a track the Veyron gets no more then 3 mpg at 253 miles per hour. Which would basically mean you can watch the needle drop as you step on the gas during spirited driving.
If your in the market for a Veyron you only hope is to find one used, the Bugatti Veyron has turned no profit and will not be produced anymore unless upon special request.
